Shelby Morandin is one of a handful of female licensed Crane truck operators in Australia. Shelby is also a fully qualified Dogman and an experienced Rigger. Shelby has always been a trailblazer and she has certainly proven that gender is no barrier to learning complex mechanical subjects or performing as well or better than her counterparts. Shelby has previously been an Apprentice Motor Mechanic and took time off to become a mother before switching gears to commence her new career as a Mobile Crane Operator.
When she first entered the crane industry, she had to work a little harder than most to push past the stereotypical thinking of her peers. She has since become widely regarded by her peers as a first grade crane truck operator who knows exactly what shes doing. Shelby has benefited greatly from the training and experience she has received through working with S&M Cranes.
Shelby is no stranger to getting her hands dirty and will jump into any grease laden dirty lifting job with gusto though at the end of the day, she still enjoys being a girl and has become widely known by her you tube channel “Tradie glam”. you can learn more about Shelby’s journey here.
